The 2024 Annual Meeting of the Sunrise Canyon HOA will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 3 p.m. near the pool and spa. As the agenda and the materials become available, they will be posted on the HOA Matters page of our website. Please plan to attend the meeting and check that website page as we get closer to the 17th.
At the Annual Meeting, there will be an election for the Board position that had been held by Tim Connolly. HOA President Allan Wright is serving as the Chairman of this year’s Elections Committee and has asked Frank Wilcek and Syd Berwager to serve on the Committee. Each owner of a property is eligible to vote at the meeting and the voting will be by paper ballots handed out at the November 17th meeting. The ballots will be counted before the meeting ends.
If you are interested in being a candidate for the open HOA Board position, please send Allan Wright an email (wright.a-c@rsmmail.com). We are fortunate to have 2 persons who have already declared themselves as candidates to serve on the Board: Brad Jordan (who resides at 5345 N. Strada de Rubino) and Ryan Thomas (who resides at 6853 E. Via Vigna). Both Brad and Ryan will be at the Annual Meeting, during which they will be able to explain the reasons for their interest and qualifications.
If you are an owner who cannot attend the meeting, you can still vote by designating a person who will be at the meeting to serve as your voting proxy. The proxy designation procedures, and the form for submitting a written designation if you choose that option, are available on the Sunrise Canyon HOA Official Documents page of our website. If you choose to send an email to the person you are designating, please send a copy of that email to Allan Wright (wright.a-c@rsmmail.com) and Syd Berwager (sydberwager@gmail.com). By copying Allan and Syd, you are officially notifying the Board of your designation and providing the information that will enable that person to receive a ballot that can be filled out on your behalf. If you wish to direct your proxy to vote for a specific candidate, please handle that in a separate communication so that your decision would be known only to your proxy.
